Speaker Bio:

Sarah DiDomenico is a Certified Hand Therapist who works at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. She also serves as a clinical faculty member at the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program.

Her experience at an urban-based Trauma I and Burn Center has required a comprehensive understanding of how to treat a diversity of complex wounds. Her unique role as an acute, inpatient, and outpatient hand therapist has allowed her to follow many of her patient’s wounds from start to finish of healing.

Sarah received her Skin and Wound Management Certificate from the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy in 2016. Not only has pursuing this advanced certificate given her a more in-depth clinical understanding of wound care that has maximized her patient outcomes, but it has also allowed her to serve as an interdisciplinary resource to her peers.
