Ultrasound therapy may promote tendon healing and strength, and optimize scar remodeling after tendon repair. Dr. Cameron will review common complications following tendon repair, how and when ultrasound therapy may enhance outcomes, potential benefits and risks of applying ultrasound therapy after tendon repair, and how to optimize potential benefits while minimizing the risks.    

Specific Objectives: 

After attending this webinar, the attendee will:

Speaker Bio

Michelle H. Cameron, MD, PT, a neurologist and physical therapist, is a teacher, author, and a clinician. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health & Science University and the author of the textbook, Physical Agents in Rehabilitation: from Research to Practice, a physical therapy bestseller now in its 6th edition and available in six languages. She is also the author of over 100 peer-reviewed articles and co-editor of the textbooks, Physical Rehabilitation: Evidence-Based Examination, Evaluation and Intervention, and, Physical Rehabilitation for the Physical Therapist Assistant.  Dr. Cameron’s research focuses on the use of electrophysical agents in rehabilitation and on imbalance and falls in people with multiple sclerosis. Dr. Cameron teaches continuing education courses on the use of electrophysical agents in rehabilitation to providers around the world.
