Dr. Brice Blatz, MD, MS – While playing competitive soccer at Northwestern University, Dr. Blatz sustained multiple orthopedic injuries, five of which required surgery. These injuries drew him to learn how the body repairs itself and expand the range of nonsurgical treatments for arthritis, tennis elbow, golfers’ elbow, rotator cuff tears, plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder, and tendonitis. Dr. Blatz wants to give his patients leading-edge treatment options that may help them avoid surgery and change their lives.

At Pacific Regenerative and Interventional Medicine in San Jose, CA, Dr. Blatz uses the most advanced centrifuge available to help him design custom stem cell treatments for each patient and condition. He also uses special image-guided orthopedic ultrasound for greater diagnostic and placement accuracy. His work is focused on helping patients of all ages return to their sports and their work more quickly with less pain and much faster recovery. In addition Dr. Blatz is the team physician for Archbishop Mitty High School and an associate professor at Stanford Medical School. In his spare time, Dr. Blatz enjoys playing golf, keeping fit with cross-training and high-intensity circuit training, and spending time with his wife and two young daughters.

Dr. Igor Immerman, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with specialty training in hand and upper extremity surgery. Treating all conditions of the upper extremity, from the simple to the complex, Dr. Immerman’s philosophy of care is that each patient should be treated as a unique person and not by a cookie-cutter, protocol-only approach. He spends time getting to know each patient and works with the patient to tailor their individual treatment. Dr. Immerman grew up in Moscow, Russia, and moved to Maryland in his teens. He graduated with honors with a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and he received his M.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH. After medical school, he completed residency in Orthopedic Surgery at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases, and he also received subspecialty training in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at UC Davis Medical Center. After fellowship, Dr. Immerman studied hand and peripheral nerve surgery in Israel and Russia, including a fellowship at the birthplace of the Ilizarov fixation method in Siberia. Throughout his career, Dr. Immerman has been active in research, and has over 20 peer-reviewed publications in medical journals. In addition to his full-time clinical practice, Dr. Immerman serves as a volunteer reviewer for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, participates in several committees in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and takes part in international medical missions with Health Volunteers Overseas.

Dr. Rudolf Buntic, MD, is a plastic, hand and microsurgeon. A native of Canada, he obtained his B.A. from Harvard University and then his M.D. from McGill University. He did his post-graduate residency training in general and plastic surgery at Stanford University. After this, he undertook a fellowship in hand and microsurgery with Doctors Harry and Gregory Buncke at Davies Medical Center in San Francisco.

Dr. Buntic is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is board certified in the Subspecialty of Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a Clinical Associate Professor Affiliated in Plastic Surgery at Stanford and on the Clinical Faculty of the University of California. He is a member of several societies, including the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. Dr. Buntic has published scientific articles, book chapters and presented at national meetings related to a wide variety of plastic, hand and microsurgery topics. He has a strong interest in microsurgical reconstruction of the breast and extremities, and his practice includes all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. His practice is in San Francisco at the Buncke Clinic.
