Dr. Subhro K. Sen is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He earned his biomedical engineering and medical degrees from Northwestern University. He completed a peripheral nerve research fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, followed by general surgery training at Indiana University, plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins, and a hand surgery fellowship at Stanford.
His clinical focus includes reconstructive, microvascular, and hand surgery. He treats post-traumatic and post-oncologic defects, performs perforator flap and melanoma surgery, and manages complex upper extremity conditions. He is the medical director of the Advanced Wound Care Center and a hand surgeon at the Robert A. Chase Hand and Upper Limb Center.
Dr. Sen is active in research, teaching, and medical device innovation. He has published on extremity reconstruction and nerve regeneration and is a faculty fellow at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign.
He is board-certified in both plastic and general surgery and is a member of major surgical societies.
