Research Update in Advanced Wound Care

Bio :
Rob Wallace received his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia in 2003. He volunteered in the Peace Corps after graduation. He found himself teaching (but really learning about) Nepal’s equivalent of Physician Assistants. After the Peace Corps he worked as an emergency room nurse in San Francisco until finding a home at Children’s Hospital Oakland in 2005. He graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing and certification as Physician Assistant and Family Nurse Practitioner from UC Davis/Sacramento State joint program in 2009.
He worked in primary care and emergency medicine until 2012 when he took a position as an NP with pediatric general and trauma surgery at Children’s Hospital Oakland. He trained to become a certified wound/ostomy nurse at Emory University. In 2019, he moved from general surgery to pediatric plastic, hand, and reconstructive surgery focusing on complex pediatric wound care. In his free time he will almost certainly be seen biking somewhere in the Bay Area.
